Unconventional Surface Well Testing

The Bear Cyclone Separator uses a newly developed Gas-Liquid Cylinder Cyclone (GLCC) technology that greatly reduces size and pressure drop compared with standard separators. The GLCC are designed for various levels of well performance. The momentum of the inlet process fluid generates a liquid vortex that allows sufficient gas and liquid separation to rapidly occur. This process creates dryer gas, lower pressure drop, and generally leads to a smaller equipment footprint.

Surface Well TestingAdvantages;

  • Very high efficiency. low cost and compact size
  • Very small operational footprint
  • Low pressure drop means more production
  • Superior separation leading to better gas and liquid measurement
  • Diameter of manufactured vessels can be built to suit, from 3” to 36”
  • Low maintenance systems

Technology Applications;

  • Control of GLR for multiphase flow meters and pumps
  • Primary surface separation and measurement system
  • High pressure separator for wet gas applications
  • Portable system for well testing purposes
  • Low API Gravity Application (12 API)
  • First Stage Gas Compressor
  • Flare Gas Scrubber
  • Steam Quality Metering
