Resource Management
Resource Management and asset tracking is one of the most important internal functions of any business. FarleyRiggs has committed a significant amount of time and financial resource into development of a purpose built Resource Management System (RMS). We scoured the marketplace to find a suitable RMS solution that would fit our organisational objectives while meeting our stringent selection criteria. Based on our inability to source the perfect solution we setup an internal engineering team to develop a purpose built Resource Management System.
Measurement of performance metrics can be derived through a comprehensive reporting function. At commencement of a mobilisation a serialised asset is “loaded out” to a specific operation. On completion of operations the asset is then “loaded In”. At this point all pertinent operational data is entered into the database system. This procedure allows reporting on specific assets and measurement of performance. An example of one important performance metric and report output is “mean time til failure”. With information, trend analysis, and developed reporting functions, we have all the knowledge necessary to implement preventative maintenance procedures to ensure performance is maximised.
A detailed built in service component will send alarm messages to required users when tools have met specific operational criteria. Depending on specific criteria users will be alerted to requirements for tools to undergo various levels of servicing.
Gauge Sensor Verification & Calibration Lab
FarleyRiggs is dedicated to delivering the highest service quality possible and this had led to significant investment in a state of the art verification and calibration system. The ability to calibrate down hole sensors and verify data quality is paramount in delivering confidence to client engineers. A stringent QA / QC process is vital to ensuring data quality is maintained. The FR calibration and verification system is a state of the art data acquisition package that allows down hole sensors to be regularly verified and where applicable calibrated.
3D CAD Software Support
Documentation and delivery of technical and training resources for exisitng tooling inventory has been a high priority requirement. Since mid 2008 FarleyRiggs has invested significant resources into increasing the availability of support tools to enable continuous technical improvement and has been an important aspect of increasing tool performance.
Specifically, improving tool performance and increasing specific knowledge of relevant tools has been a major driver in instigating the project. We have primarily used this software to develop training tools to increase the knowledge of tools and maintenance procedures.
FarleyRiggs has therefore chosen and implemented use of the leading, industry recognised, 3D CAD modelling software, Solid Works.
